About the role

We are looking for a Medior QA Engineer to join and strengthen our IT team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts. The ideal candidate is skilled in hands-on testing and can also contribute to automated testing efforts.

You will be involved in a range of ongoing development projects with a focus on Vennex—our new exchange platform for trading shares and bonds in small to medium-sized enterprises and crowdfunding platforms. Vennex provides a regulated electronic security register, a payment solution, corporate actions support and a trading venue (MTF) to unburden your financial related operational needs.

Based on product requirements, you will design, develop, and execute test scenarios. You will support automated end-to-end tests for both functional and regression testing, and perform functional, usability, and regression tests manually. Additionally, you will identify issues, manage defect tracking, and communicate testing results to both the development teams and product owners.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end test automation using Cypress and Playwright frameworks

  • Experience with API testing (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, etc)

  • Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, etc

  • Strong knowledge of various test design techniques and solid understanding of different types of testing

  • Experience with software release cycles, deployment planning, and post-release validation

  • Understanding of Git and version control

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban)

  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle

  • Skilled in writing test cases, check lists and creating clear bug reports

  • Familiar with bug tracking systems and release procedures

  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English


Preferred

  • Familiar with basic SQL for database testing

  • Interest in the financial services industry

  • Basic understanding of Apache Kafka and its role in distributed systems

  • Knowledge Kotlin, JavaScript, Java or other scripting languages
