The AFS Interest Rates Division has roots dating back 175 years and continues to expand in both its core established markets, and new ones. In total AFS Group counts close to 200 employees, with ambitious growth plans best centered on how to best serve our customers in this dynamic, ever-changing, and fast-paced markets. The AFS Interest Rates Division consists of a group of 40+ ambitious and motivated professionals across Money & Capital Markets and Fixed Income, providing best in class solutions to serve a variety of public sectors, corporate, banking, and institutional clients.
We are looking for talented (or aspiring) brokers to develop new and further existing relationships with corporate, government, and financial institutions, with the support of AFS’ core product offering (Deposits, FX Arbitrage, CP, CD and other STIR Products), and the network and expertise of our various colleagues. Our desks intermediate in the following products on behalf of our clients:
• Interbank and Non-banking Deposits
• Certificates of Deposits (CD) & Commercial Paper (CP)
• Repurchase Agreements
• Arbitrage
• Foreign Exchange (mainly FX-Swaps)
• Interest Rate Derivatives
• Treasury Bills
• Medium Term Notes & Structured Bonds
• Private Placements & Structured Loans
Within the European market alone, there remain numerous opportunities for expansion. We can increase our focus on markets where we already have a presence and explore new markets where we have not yet established activities. We are therefore seeking commercial talents with diverse linguistic abilities and backgrounds who are interested in the financial sector within a broking & trading house.
In this role you will be focusing on:
· Managing, maintaining, and expanding the client portfolio, with a focus on new business and high potential markets.
· Identify clients’ needs, facilitate and close transactions, and pro-actively act to achieve best-in-market customer satisfaction.
· Actively looking for new and cross-selling opportunities within AFS Group departments.
· Conduct market research where you will research and analyze market trends, technological advancements, potential clients, and their industry trends, to help inform business decisions.
· Ensure brand awareness and building your network, also through participation in business events, fairs, and other occasions.
Job requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or higher
· Fluently English and French or German, other languages are a big plus.
· Eager, energetic, curious, and proactive by nature.
· You are steady and not afraid to (cold) call (potential) clients and go on sale trips.
· Accurate, excellent numerical and analytical skills.
· Team player, deal maker and winner’s mentality
· Good knowledge of financial products and the money market is a plus.

· Candidates with experience in broking, trading, or sales roles are preferred.
· Candidates with a network in the financial and/or banking industry are also a plus.
