About the job

We are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer with a strong technical background to join our team as a Team Lead. You will lead the development team which consists of 10 people (both front and back-end), ensuring effective collaboration and technical delivery. In this position you will report to the COO. As part of our IT team, you will be working on the Vennex project, our new exchange platform for trading shares and bonds in small to medium sized enterprises and crowdfunding platforms. In this role, you will guide a dynamic development team while contributing to the creation of a new MTF (Multilateral Trading Facility) in the financial sector. 

The focus of the position

  • Oversee back-end development processes and maintain high-quality code standards.

  • Manage day-to-day operations and support developers in overcoming challenges.

  • Balancing technical leadership with team oversight, while aligning with business objectives.

  • Act as the main point of contact for your development team, offering guidance and mentorship and driving technical decisions and ensuring smooth collaboration. As well as a contact point for external clients for technical discussions.

  • Work together with the development team, product owners, business analysts and management on C-level to align project goals and requirements.

Job requirements

  • At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience as a Back-End Developer

  • Fluent in English 

  • Expertise in Kotlin, Java Spring Boot, and Kafka. GraphQL is a plus

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like Vue, Typescript is a plus

  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS / Digital Ocean / Azure

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CICD and Gitlab

  • Knowledge of the financial markets is a plus

  • Previous team lead experience is not required, but you should be ready to step into a leadership role and manage a team.
