The AFS Interest Rates Division has roots dating back 170 years and continues to expand in both its core established and new markets. In total AFS Group counts more than 170 employees, with ambitious growth plans centered on how to best serve our customers in this dynamic, ever-changing, and fast-paced markets. The AFS Interest Rates Division consists of a group of 40+ ambitious and motivated professionals across Money & Capital Markets and Fixed Income providing best in class solutions to serve a variety of public sector, corporate, banking, and institutional clients.
We are seeking talented Brokers to help grow and deepen relationships with corporates, governments, and public institutions across the Asia. You’ll be supported by AFS’ robust product suite, as well as the expertise and network of our experienced colleagues. The Interest Asia desk specializes in brokering deposits, commercial paper (CP), certificates of deposit (CD), and other short-term interest rate instruments. We also facilitate loans, medium-term notes (MTNs), and private placements in the capital markets on behalf of our core clients. More broadly, the Interest Rates Division is active across the following product areas:
Interbank and Non-banking Deposits
Certificates of Deposits (CD) & Commercial Paper (CP)
Repurchase Agreements
Arbitrage
Foreign Exchange (mainly FX-Swaps)
Interest Rate Derivatives
Treasury Bills
Medium Term Notes & Structured Bonds
Private Placements & Structured Loans
In this role you will be focusing on:
Managing, maintaining, and expanding client portfolio, with a focus on new business and high potential markets
Identify clients’ needs and proactively act to achieve best-in-market customer satisfaction
Actively looking for new and cross-selling opportunities within AFS Group departments
Conduct market research where you will research and analyse market trends, technological advancements, potential clients, and their industry trends, to help business decisions.
Job requirements
Bachelor degree or higher
Candidates with experience in finance, broking, trading, or complex sales roles are preferred
Fluent English plus at least one Asian language
Candidates with a network in the financial industry are a plus
Bachelor degree or higher
Eager, energetic, curious, and proactive by nature
You are steady and not afraid to (cold) call (potential) clients and go on sales trips
Good knowledge of financial products and the money and capital market
Accurate, excellent numerical and analytical skills
