(Junior) Broker Fixed Income (Middle East) | AFS Interest

Our AFS Interest team is expanding because of the growth of our business opportunities. In total we have more than 170 employees working at AFS Group, and we are still growing in this dynamic and fast-paced market. The AFS Interest team consists of a group of 50+ ambitious and highly motivated brokers who are always finding ways to improve services and close deals for their clients. This client base consists of asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, treasuries, and family offices worldwide.

As a Junior Fixed Income Broker your main focus will be business development and relationship management with clients in the Middle East. You will focus on developing relationships with Asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, treasuries, and family offices. The product you would be trading is cash bonds.

In this role you will be focusing on:

• Managing, maintaining, and expanding the client portfolio, with a focus on new business and high potential markets.

• Back-up senior broker in charge of the Middle East region.

• Identify clients’ needs and pro-actively act to achieve best-in-market customer satisfaction.

• Actively look for new and cross-selling opportunities within AFS Group departments.

• Conduct market research where you will research and analyze market trends, technological advancements, potential clients, and their industry trends, to help inform business decisions.

• Ensure brand awareness and building your network through participation in business events, fairs, and other occasions.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (finance/economics/accounting major a plus).

• Candidates with 0-3 years of professional experience in finance, trading, or sales roles are preferred.

• Fluent English and any additional languages are a plus.

• Eager, energetic, curious, and proactive by nature.

• You are steady and not afraid to (cold) call (potential) clients.

• Good knowledge of financial products and market.

• Accurate, excellent numerical and analytical skills.
